Due to geographic, climatic and human characteristics, Chilean soils meet extraordinary conditions for the development of various wines of international fame. There are more than 1,200 kilometers from north to south, with temperate, warm and humid climate, protected by the Andes mountains to the east and the natural regulation of temperatures that provides the Humboldt current in the Pacific Ocean.
These characteristics and conditions are a source of diversity and quality, intense color, delicate aromas and unique tastes. Chile is a recognized and established producer and exporter of the global wine industry. Its wines reach and have a presence in more than 150 countries, which today installs it as the 4th largest exporter of wine after France, Spain and Italy, and the first of the new world. With over 450 years of viticulture, bottled wine exports remained stable in 2015, reaching US $ 1,523 million, and red wine reached a record US $ 1,020 million.
Chile produces wines as varied as Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenere, Merlot, Syrah, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, among others, and in recent years has developed a remarkable range of sparkling wines increasing their shipments steadily.
